Before Arrival
We are monitoring all employees for symptoms of illness. Even during normal times, we will not knowingly send a technician who is ill into your home. So during this time when we all need to be extra cautious, we are taking extra precautions to monitor the health of our employees.
Upon Arrival
All of our technicians are supplied with gloves, shoe covers, N95 masks and disinfectant wipes, and will be using these items to reduce the possible spread of infection.
While in Your Home
In accordance with the current social distancing guidelines, I have asked our technicians to keep a safe distance from our customers. We are not being unfriendly, but it’s in everyone’s best interest to follow these guidelines during this national health emergency.
Helping You Stay Healthy
One way that COVID-19 is spread is through airborne particles, which makes radiant heat a clean, healthy method of heating during this pandemic. Radiant heat doesn’t move particles. With central heating, if someone sneezes in the pathway of a heating air current, it may move the germs to another room. Since radiant heat doesn’t create currents of air that might move particles of a virus, it is great for reducing the spread of germs within a household (it’s also great for allergy sufferers).
In order to maintain the health of your home, it is recommended to keep the humidity below 50%. Radiant heating also assists with keeping the moisture level under control as radiant heat does not contain moisture (contrary to what many people think). It’s simply a temperature moving from one area to another.
